MULTI LEVEL LABORATORY FIT OUT

plant & food research
This multi-story project gave Vekart the chance to show the lab world what we are made of. Working closely with the project architect Vekart were able to achieve the client’s specific and specialised requirements.
With this being a sensitive environment, certain products and producers had to be used to ensure that the surfaces could withstand the chemical materials used within these labs. Chemsurf has been used on all lab benches, with moisture resistant board used on under bench cabinetry, under bench frames were powder coated with chemical resistant adjustable plastic feet. All stainless steel supplied has been 316 laboratory grade.
The extent of our work goes far beyond just lab benching and cabinetry. Vekart were also tasked to supply and install column closers, and Elector par fittings This specialised and technical conponent has given us an edge within Lab fit outs with the knowledge gained by our team..
The safe stations were manufactured as a whole unit from compact laminate and signage was added using 3m film.
This project has been achieved within the specific time frames allocated and the client is very satisfied with the overall look of the refurbished laboratories.

scion research
This Rotorua research facility has gained international recognition. When Scion Research was embarking on the refurbishment of their premises in Rotorua,
the need for a hygienic workspace was an integral consideration.
A Crown Research Institute (CRI) that specialises in research, science and technology development for the forestry, wood product and wood-derived materials and other biomaterial sectors, Scion required products as meticulous as their work practices for their fermentation, chemistry, molecular and analytical laboratories.
Vekart was tasked with creating the benches, cabinetry and framing in these upgraded spaces. Moisture and chemical resistance were key factors as the equipment needed to withstand the day to day activity involving chemicals in the labs. To this end, proposed products went through rigorous testing to ensure they met the stringent requirements set by Scion.
